Weatherglass privacy policy
Effective: 21 October 2026
Weatherglass shows the weather, tides and wind for where you are and for places you save. We collect as little as we can to do that.
Location
If you allow it, Weatherglass uses your location to get the weather where you are. Your location, or a place you chose, is sent to our weather providers, Apple WeatherKit and WillyWeather, only to get forecasts. Saved places stay on your devices. We don't store your location, except the suburb for warning notifications (below), and we don't sell or share it.
Warning notifications
If you turn on Weather warnings, Weatherglass sends our server a notification address from Apple and the suburb WillyWeather uses for your weather place: its ID, its published centre and its state, never your exact position, along with whether you turned on farming advisories or minor warnings. We use them only to send you warnings issued for that suburb, through Apple's notification service, and keep a note of which warnings we've sent so you get each one once. They aren't linked to you or your Apple account. We delete them when you turn warnings off, when Apple tells us the app has been removed, or after 30 days without the app being opened.
Anonymous usage data
Weatherglass sends us information about how the app is used and how it's working, such as which screens and features are used and how many forecasts loaded, together with a random code made by the app. The code isn't connected to you, your Apple account or your device's hardware, and lets us see how the app is used over time. We use it to improve the app, to make sure it keeps working as it should, and to see which features lead people to subscribe. It contains no location, places or searches. It's processed by TelemetryDeck in the EU. You can turn it off in Settings under Share anonymous usage data, which also deletes the code.
If you share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple also sends us crash and performance reports.
No tracking or advertising
Weatherglass doesn't track you across apps or websites and has no advertising.
